WHY we’re DOING IT

As a family based company, we recognized the need to help families and companies get faster and more reliable access to goods. Our purpose is a desire to support Kiwi’s via the transport industry and “CoolBox NZ” has emerged.

Smaller, tighter streets and lanes are part and parcel of the urban sprawl, leaving an ever increasing need for more agile local transport needs, while current logistics cool chain manufacturers are struggling.

With retailers and distributors shifting to offering online direct deliveries, this creates a demand for smaller more efficient refrigerated vehicles.

TRUSTED - FOR Over 50 years

The team has been providing solutions to the NZ Automotive Industry since 1968. With new global challenges endured from early 2020, the world experienced delays gearing up to cope with the new normal. New behaviors have evolved and bedded in over time.

Often reliance on contractors and courier services results in delays, impersonal service and at times wastage of perishable goods, due to multiple or extended delivery schedules. This causes frustrations beyond most of our control.

Until now… Cool Box is a reliable solution. Offering deep freeze, refrigerated, chilled, ambient and dry freight options. Affordable dry freight and temperature controlled truck body solutions can now be installed to smaller mainstream Utes, mid size van cab chassis’ and smaller trucks, including electric vehicle variants.

We design the perfect set up for you. Boxes are manufactured overseas in a TUV German certified factory with ISO9001:2008 accreditation.

The most common goods transported via refrigerated food grade trucks are: meat, fish, fruits, vegetables and dairy products.

Pharmaceuticals are also carried in temperature controlled environments. Medicines and vaccines are mostly in smaller batches, so less volume to cool is more efficient and energy saving. The start up and cool down time are greatly reduced, lowering carbon emissions and leaving a cleaner planet for our future generations.
